Peej's Green Beans

Pour all ingredients into a pot and cook on high heat until there is a nice rolling boil.  Reduce heat to medium until all juice is gone, about 15 minutes.  The key is the longer cook time.  The bacon then has time to soak into the beans.


2 cans cut green beans, almost totally drained
4 slices of bacon, cut into smaller pieces
3 tbls. unsalted butter
garlic salt
