Pasta Fagoli Soup

Directions

Remove casings from sausage and cut into small pieces. Brown sausage over medium heat and add to a bowl. Leave apx. 1 tbls. of the drippings in the skillet.  Saute onion, pepper and garlic in the drippings until tender.  Add sausage and remaining ingredients into a large pot and simmer uncovered for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs hot or sweet Italian sausage
1 med. onion, chopped
1 meg. green bell pepper, cut in strips
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can northern beans
28oz canned tomatoes, chopped
2-2.5 cups bow-tie pasta
6 cups water
1 tbls. white sugar
1 tbls worcestershire sauce
2 chicken boullion cubes
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. salt
